Hey, all. We are back from the Spring Meeting and 3rd HEA Workshop.
It was a great meeting and we have *many* new observing projects and
campaign in the pipeline as a result. I'll try to compose a CCD Views
in the next couple of weeks to detail them. Also, video from the
meeting will be posted to our web site as soon as it is processed
(probably around a month or so).
In the meantime I wanted to mention 2 objects for monitoring.
Continued monitoring of IL Aqr is important. This exoplanet host star
is variable in its own right but not well followed. An observation
every few nights in B or V and 0.01 precision would be nice. If you
detect a flare then begin time series for a few hours and e-mail me.
Also, check out Var Her 04. Our final round of Spitzer observations
have been approved. They are normally scheduled 1-2 weeks out and will
likely be in the next month. When we have a date we'll begin a
quiescent campaign around the observations so any current baseline
data will be useful (as will the practice since it has been a while
since we last observed it). Also, we expect to have a spectra run on
Apache Point Observatory in either late May or June and also a 2 night
photometry run from the UH 2.2m around the same time period. Campaigns
will be organized around those events also.
