Dear all,
I just finished analysing a set of 1RXS J053234.9+624755 CCD observations,
obtained by CBA observer Tom Krajci (CBA Albuquerque) and myself, between JD
2,453,448.2 and JD 2,453,457.8. In total, 1069 data points were included
covering a time span of 9.4 days. Observations were detrended and
average-subtracted (using Peranso), after which a number of period analysis
techniques were applied (ANOVA, Lomb-Scargle, PDM, ...). All yield a
consistent, very short superhump period of 0.0571 +/- 0.0002d. The overall
superhump profile did change during the above interval, but apparently
without affecting the superhump period.
One might expect to gradually see a change in the superhump period as the
system evolves towards the end of this superoutburst.
Best regards,
Tonny
