This is just a reminder that if you're thinking of attending the Society for Astronomical Science
meeting at Big Bear, CA, next May and want to present a paper, abstracts are going to be due by the
end of February (exact date TBA). Final notification will be a few days later. Final papers will be
due mid-April (along with your tax return if you live in the U.S.!).

We have quite a line up going so far; a tentative list will be up on the SAS web site very soon (
www.socastrosci.org ). You'll also be able to get information about bookings at the Northwoods
Resort. The meeting will be Wed/Thur May 25/26.

To submit an abstract (in MSWord, please), send it to

   program at socastrosci.org

Use the same email address for general inquiries about presentations and submitting the final paper.

We have a new style guide for this year that we hope will make things look a bit more consistent and
professional (not that what we had before wasn't good!). It will also make editing the final
proceedings easier if everyone can try to stick to the guide. You can find that at

     http://www.socastrosci.org/Files/SAS.dot

All submissions need to be in MS Word. Sorry if that's not convenient for all but LaTeX is
definitely OUT and PDFs don't allow merging documents (especially if not all PDF) as readily.

Don't forget we also allow poster papers so if you're not inclined to do a presentation but want to
show off some of your work, please consider a poster paper as an alternative.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or anyone else on the committee (the SAS
site gives emails), or send an email to the above address.

As the head of the English department at an Ivy League college once wrote, "Looking forward to
hopefully seeing you there."
