[Aavso-photometry] preliminary results

Dear all,

I got six hours of data before sky finally clouded just before midnight UT. The start of the run was very good, photometry with a few millimag scatter, but end of run was not so good because of worsening conditions and stars started to drift from image to image. Inpixel sensitivity variations may have caused dimmings (the first one sure looked like an ingress!) and brightenings. Anyone else got anything similar with Kodak KAF CCDs and 5 pixel stars (FWHM)?

I will need to re-measure the data to be sure the processing did not cause problems, but the preliminary light curve is now available on web:

The weather forecast was right, our sky is clear. I started my run of HD80606 at 18UT and will continue as long as possible.

Last night was cloudy in Finland. I have submitted a 90 datapoint baseline run from Wednesday morning. No problems using AIP4Win with HD80607 as the comp star (just had to change the target finding radius small enough).

Current forecast promises clear weather for tonight, lets hope it will be.

best regards,

arto
