Hello
I wanted to share my experience from last night, so that other observers have
an idea where to start their time series. I used 120 second exposures, 10
inch scope, ST10MXE camera, unbinned, V filter, Max pixel reading about 30,000,
temp -20C, sn of 1700 to 2000, Aperture for PT of 12 pixel radius, 5 pixel
radius separation and 5 pixel radius sky annulus--these last two are dictated by
the separation of the two stars. I was getting FWHM's of 3-5 arc secs. There
was some high thin cirrus. There was a nearly full moon.
Hope this helps other observers tonight and tomorrow night.
Clear Skies
Gary
