VV Pup

>From my limited experience with this Target I would
judge that you will need a minimum, with a V filter,
of a 30 minute integration with a 12 inch f/10 scope;
whether a single integration or by stacking; f/6.3
scopes can probably shave about one third off of this
time. A bit longer would be even better.

This is a dim target, most likely in the 18-19 range.

One of the larger issues with this target is that we
need folks SOUTH of 45 degrees N latitude to capture
this target. I am at 45:48 North and the azimuth of
this target last night was down to 21 degrees at the
end of a half hour integration, which is way to much
air mass for such a dim target (18 +); my image was a
real "dog."

Arizona, New Mexico and our Southern "Cousins", here
and abroad... You are really needed for this one...

I would also suggest, that in addition to the AAVSO
charts that you down load of the POSSII plate images
of this field, for target confirmation, from Aladin or
other similar service.
