[Aavso-photometry] AAVSO Mailing List Trouble

  Here at HQ we've been experiencing intermittant power outages ever
since the blizzard last week. The UPS on our e-mail server has since
died. A new one was ordered over a week ago, but wouldn't you know it,
my car also broke down at that time so I have been unable to pick it
up. Tomorrow I will be able to.
   The crashes created a bad sector on our RAID5 disk causing some
loss of data to files associated with our AAVSO-Discussion and
AAVSO-Photometry mailing lists. AAVSO-HEN and AAVSO-SID-List were
unaffected.  The loss of these files prevented users from subscribing
and unsubscribing over the last three days. E-mail should not have
been lost, however I cannot be completely sure. So if you tried to
post a message to one of those lists in the last 3 days and think it
did not go through then feel free to repost it.
    The sector has been cleared and the damaged files restored from a
backup. Everything should be back to normal now.
