Dear colleagues,
Last night (Sep 16/17, 2004), I made time-series photometry observations of
V587 Lyr, during about 3 hours, under moderate sky conditions. I was using a
0.35-m f/6.3 telescope and a ST-7XME CCD camera. Similar to earlier
observations of this object, obtained at CBA Belgium Observatory in June
2001 (see www.cbabelgium.com for details), V587 Lyr again was showing no
significant modulations. Further monitoring is required, but it might be
very well that this is a UGSS-type dwarf nova.
Kind regards,
Tonny
