In my last post I did not specifically mention that the 12.956 +/-
0.033 blue magnitude should be applied to the 119 comp star. Below is
an updated
version of that e-mail.
---
At AAVSO request, Bruce Gary (GBL) got some transformed all-sky
photometry of the IL Aqr field so we could get some B mags for the 119
comp star.
If you are doing B photometry of IL Aqr please use 12.956 +/-
0.033 as the B magnitude of the 119 star. Please note this value
_may_ be refined
between now and the official start of the campaign. This does not
include the faint companion 18" nearby.
Bruce's full table of colors for the comp stars is below. B
uncertainty is estimated to be 0.033 and V to be 0.022.
Star B-mag V-mag B-V
111 11.715 11.038 0.677
115 12.116 11.461 0.655
119 12.956 11.912 1.043
103 10.899 10.347 0.552
IL Aqr 11.908 10.175 1.733
The photometry was done with a Celestron CGE-1400 in a prime focus
configuration (2.8 "arc/pixel) under photometric skies and "OK" (good
compared to image
scale) seeing in Hereford, AZ.
