Hi, all. The transit observing windows begin to open this Sunday.
Tonight is probably your last chance to get some practice in before
holiday activities take over. Some random thoughts before the
weekend:
* I have put online a new chart for HD 37605 with BVR photometry from
Arne and Bruce Gary. We're
still working on a new HD 74156 chart. But for now you can use what
we have online.
* Sky & Telescope wrote an article about this campaign for their web site:
http://skyandtelescope.com/news/article_1400_1.asp
* If you plan to observe post a message here so that others can plan
accordingly. For instance, maybe someone will take the opportunity to
nap for a few hours and then take over once your run is complete.
* Don't forget the new Airmass & Scintillation Calculator:

As always, links to all the charts, incoming data and more are at our
campaign coordination web page:
http://www.aavso.org/news/transits.shtml
I will begin making light curves and posting results when I return
next Wednesday.
Happy holidays and good luck!

New York Times quote: "It was actually happening.
The nerd was kissing the homecoming queen. Paper was beating scissors;
scissors were beating rock. Charlie Brown was kicking the football. The
Red Sox were beating the Yankees for the American League pennant."
