I have just completed the processing for 4 images of 4 minutes each
taken one after the other in the field of LS And taken the evening of
11/8/04.
At the position of the variable 00 32 09.9+41 58 05.6, the first two
images show nothing. The star is below my ability to detect it (18th
mag or so). On the third image, the star is visible at 13th magnitude,
followed by the fourth image of absolutely nothing. The event at the
stated location of ls and covers multiple pixels.
The implication is that the star rose and fell in intensity within a 4
minute 10 second exposure with an average brightness of 13th magnitude.
If the star activity had been outside that range, the increase in
brightness would have shown partially on the surrounding images.
Is it possible the star can actually be doing something like this?
