[Aavso-photometry] Getting started... thanks

Thanks for all of the responses.  It appears that the best thing to do 
is a V filter.  I think I will try to start out with eclipsing 
binaries.  In fact, the telescope is setup right now looking at SW LAC.  
But the clouds started rolling in 30 minutes before minima :(

Oh well.. thanks again.. The discussion is a little over my head right 
now, but as I practice, I will start to understand... maybe :)
