Melandri (Liverpool JMU), C. Guidorzi (U. Ferrara), C.G. Mundell, Z. Cano (Liverpool JMU), A. Gomboc (U. Ljubljana), N. Tanvir (Leicester) report on behalf of a large collaboration: On December 15th at 15:43:50 UT we observed the field of the possible GRB 091215 (trigger 379449, Sakamaoto et al., GCN 10280) with the the 2-m Faulkes Telescope North. Automatic observations were performed using BVRi' filters. We do not detect any obvious bright optical afterglow in the field of view, that covers almost entirely the BAT error circle reported by Sakamoto et al. (GCN 10280). We calibrated our images using SDSS for the i' band and USNOB-1 for the R band and derived conservative upper limits for the OT : Mid Time Total Exp Filter Magnitude (min) (s) ----------------------------------------------------------- 5.3 30 R > 18.5 16.5 100 i' > 19.2 ----------------------------------------------------------- _______________________________________________ Aavso-hen mailing list Aavso-hen@aavso.org To change options or unsubscribe, goto http://www.aavso.org/mailman/listinfo/aavso-hen The Santa Barbara Instrument Group (www.sbig.com): Take the next step.
