Ukwatta (GSFC/GWU) report on behalf of the Swift Team: At 15:02:11 UT, the Swift Burst Alert Telescope (BAT) triggered and located GRB 090408 (trigger=348720). Swift will execute a delayed slew to the burst. The BAT on-board calculated location is RA, Dec 231.618, +37.564, which is RA(J2000) = 15h 26m 28s Dec(J2000) = +37d 33' 51" with an uncertainty of 3 arcmin (radius, 90% containment, including systematic uncertainty). The BAT TDRSS light curve shows nothing significant as is typical for an image trigger. Due to an observing constraint, Swift will not slew until T0+55 minutes. There will be no XRT or UVOT data until this time. Burst Advocate for this burst is M. C. Stroh (stroh AT astroh.org). Please contact the BA by email if you require additional information regarding Swift followup of this burst. In extremely urgent cases, after trying the Burst Advocate, you can contact the Swift PI by phone (see Swift TOO web site for information: http://www.swift.psu.edu/too.html.) _______________________________________________ Aavso-hen mailing list Aavso-hen@aavso.org To change options or unsubscribe, goto http://www.aavso.org/mailman/listinfo/aavso-hen ===== END MESSAGE ===== ===== BEGIN MESSAGE ===== From aavso-hen-bounces@aavso.org Thu Apr 9 01:07:08 2009 Return-Path: X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.2.5 (2008-06-10) on mira.aavso.org X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, score=-1.4 required=3.0 tests=ALL_TRUSTED autolearn=disabled version=3.2.5 Received: from mira.aavso.org (localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1]) by mira.aavso.org (8.14.3/8.14.3) with ESMTP id n395752H007112; Thu, 9 Apr 2009 01:07:06 -0400 Received: from mira.aavso.org (localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1]) by mira.aavso.org (8.14.3/8.14.3) with ESMTP id n39575Yu007109 for ; Thu, 9 Apr 2009 01:07:05 -0400 Received: (from grb@localhost) by mira.aavso.org (8.14.3/8.14.3/Submit) id n39575N7007108; Thu, 9 Apr 2009 01:07:05 -0400 Date: Thu, 9 Apr 2009 01:07:05 -0400 Message-Id: <200904090507.n39575N7007108@mira.aavso.org> To: aavso-hen@aavso.org From: grb@aavso.org Subject: [AAVSO-HEN] GRB 090408: Xinglong TNT optical Upper Limit X-BeenThere: aavso-hen@aavso.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.11 Precedence: list List-Id: AAVSO High Energy Network List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Sender: aavso-hen-bounces@aavso.org Errors-To: aavso-hen-bounces@aavso.org The following is a GCN Circular circulated via the AAVSO network.
